- There's at least 3 bands called The Shifters. 1. a french obscure psych-influenced rock that lasted from 1985 to 1990. 2. The other one is the canadian hard rock band. Rock n’ roll has never been in God’s good graces. Elvis was supposedly the son of Satan because of the way he shook his hips, Ozzy bit the head off a bat, while Motley Crue lived fast.
