- Stacey Earle (born in Lake Charles, Louisiana, on September 25, 1960) is an American singer-songwriter (and sister of musician Steve Earle who has joined her in her music) . As well as solo recordings, she records as the duo Stacey Earle & Mark Stuart with Mark Stuart. Both Earle and Stuart have been members of Steve Earle & The Dukes . Raised in San Antonio, Texas, Earle first taught herself to play a ukulele. She was given a guitar as a Christmas present when she was 16 years old
