- There are multiple artists named Melts. 1) Melts is a sludge metal band from Atlanta, Georgia. Active in the early 90's, influenced by Melvins, The Jesus Lizard, Black Sabbath, and EyeHateGod (EHG's Jimmy Bower was an early bass player for Melts), Melts is the brainchild of vocalist/guitarist TheoX (Ted Williamson). The album 'Salicoutinaw' (227 records) includes Jo Jameson on bass, and Andrew Barker on drums. 2) Melts is a sunshine-pop outfit from Madrid, Spain.
